Peak Nano has an immediate opening for a Robotic Automation Manufacturing Leader, reporting to the Director of Manufacturing within Peak Nano. This individual will have the responsibility to provide people and technical leadership for Peak Nano Optics Clean Room and Robotic Automation assembly operations. The successful candidate will be an energetic leader with a proven track record of continuously developing, motivating, and coaching their team to deliver amazing results. They will also lead by example in all areas of robotic assembly, safety, quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and cost management.

Peak Nano is focused on developing and delivering innovative, disruptive solutions to the optical lens and thin films markets. This position will support operations for our Optics facility in Macedonia, OH.

Organizational Responsibilities:

• Performs Robotic Automation and Clean Room leadership responsibilities.

  • Leads hiring, performance appraisals, promotions and terminations for their team.

  • Accountable for training and development of staff and pro-actively estimating resource/labor needs.

  • Measures performance of team against targets and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

• Expertise in leading, installing, code modification and problem solving robotic automation operations.

• Demonstrates a high sense of ownership for their area by their actions.

• Mentors and develops junior members of the Peak Nano family.

• Acts as a team role model and change-agent.

• Positively leads and influences team members to partner together to achieve individual, team and business goals.

• Collaborates with the Development Team to efficiently leverage technology from Development to Manufacturing.

• Collaborates with other functional areas to resolve problems and develop improved processes.

• Collaborates with others to ensure operating procedures are optimized and truly reflect the most effective method of operation (delivering against safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets).

• Maintains quality control processes to ensure the team delivers against quality standards.

• Holds responsibility for key operational measures within business unit (safety, quality, productivity, cost)

• Reduces process complexity.

• Drives improvement strategies in all key metric areas; Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Costs.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in manufacturing leadership or similarly complex organization (e.g., Military)

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

• Experience with Robotic Assembly

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Impeccable communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

Experience:

• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop a diverse team of individuals performing a variety of tasks required.

• Demonstrated strong floor presence.

• Ability to think ahead, anticipate problems, make decisions and take appropriate action.

• Skilled in designing and implementing operational improvement strategies for safety, quality, productivity, robotic assembly and costs.

• Skilled in analyzing and drawing information for daily operational needs and improvement for the team.

• Ability to successfully partner with team members and stakeholders from multiple backgrounds.
