We are seeking a Registered Nurse in Ambulatory Urology to:

  • Provide evidence based, high quality nursing care for patients via telephone triage and MyChart
  • Assess patient care needs, provide patient and family education, and implement a plan for care while on live telephone triage.
  • Support providers and patients through team based follow up
  • Utilize delegation protocols, practice guidelines, and specialty specific resources to guide triage decision making.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to optimize care coordination.
  • Establish goals and strategies for meeting needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers.

Education :

Minimum –Graduate of school of nursing

Preferred – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Work Experience :

Minimum – Six (6) months of RN experience.

Preferred – Relevant RN experience

Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum – Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact. CPR/BLS Certification.

Preferred – Applicable clinical certification

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities :

  • Knowledge and experience documenting patient care in an electronic medical record.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to make knowledgeable clinical assessments and judgements.
  • Ability to educate staff.
  • Ability to provide counseling and emotional support with compassion and respect for the individual.
  • Ability to provide support to the members of the care team (teamwork)
  • Must possess initiative and ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records

Physical Requirements :

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

W ork Schedule :

100% FTE, Days Monday through Friday, 8 hour shifts between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:00 pm. No holidays or weekends. Hours may vary depending on the need of the department.
