Are you a new graduate RN or a newly licensed nurse looking to work in an acute care hospital? Apply for Emerson's New Graduate Nurse Residency program! Candidates may be placed in Medical/Surgical, Behavioral Health, ED, CCU, and Mother/Baby areas of hospital!

**Interviews will be conducted in December 2022. New graduate program will begin in March 2023!

**You must have a current RN licensure by March of 2023 to be eligible for this program

About Emerson’s Nurse Residency Program :

Emerson Hospital has partnered with the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™ to provide our new graduate nurses with evidence based curriculum that enhances their transition to practice. The curriculum is focused on critical areas for successful transition from student to practice nurse: leadership, the professional role, communication, evidence based practice and patient outcomes. Learning opportunities include classroom, simulation and seminars. Within the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™ you will build relationships with other new graduate nurses in your cohort and you will have access to a designated preceptor to help guide you in your first year of nursing.

Program Details:

  • A 12 month program ease the transition into practice, including:
    • Classroom/skills orientation
    • Precepted unit orientation
    • Monthly classes on a designated day each month
  • Support from peers and clinical experts
  • Residents complete a facilitated Evidence-Based Practice project by the completion of the program
