Free Press Publishing is looking for a journalist to manage the news content of The Ritzville Adams County Journal. We're looking for a reporter/photographer for this rural, county-seat newspaper in Ritzville, Wash. Come big the big fish in a small pond. Report on city and county government, schools, people, events, agriculture and local sports and recreation. In addition to regular beats, there are rodeos to cover as well as a combine derby, sprint boat racing and more.
Ritzville is centrally located between Spokane, Pasco and Moses Lake. The Journal covers the city of Ritzville and several nearby towns and much of Adams County. Crime here is low and the cost of housing is less expensive than most of the state. Our readers are local and want to know what's happening in their communities.
Our Ritzville-based journalist will be part of a larger news operation that includes collegues at our other newspapers. Our journalists provide a voice for rural areas of five Eastern Washington counties.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
