Position Overview:

Freddie Mac is currently seeking a Risk Analytics Senior to join the Credit Innovation and Analytics (CIA) team in the Single-Family division.

Our Impact:

The CIA team owns credit policy and analytics as it pertains to the borrower’s capacity to repay the mortgage. The team is responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions for automating the manual processes of assessing borrower assets and income using big data, analytics and third-party service providers.

Your Impact:

This position will play an important role in preparing requirements for and testing business rules implemented in applications for automated evaluation of borrowers’ capacity (assets, income, employment). The candidate will be responsible for understanding the business need and vision as well as policy guidance.

Business rules testing

  • Acquire in-depth understanding of Freddie Mac’s automated capacity assessment capabilities / products including business need, policy alignment, encoded business rules, inputs and outputs, and associated data and data structures
  • Participate in discussions relating to business needs. Review and analyze business requirements
  • Design test scenarios in collaboration with analytics and business teams
  • Create test cases, work closely with development team in reviewing results and tracking defects
  • Review and approve unit, system, and regression test results at the end of each iteration
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback
  • Evaluate testing methods, processes, and tools used by the team and suggest / implement improvements

Task management

  • Work under limited direction, independently determine and develop testing strategies and scenarios
  • Partner and build relationships with sub-teams including business, policy, and implementation teams as well as other enterprise teams
  • Work with multiple and changing priorities, meet deadlines, identify and advance issues and constraints, assimilate constructive feedback

Qualifications:

  • Typically 5-7 years of related work experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or related field
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with XML, JSON, SQL, PostMan
  • Familiarity with Agile processes
  • Prior experience in Automation Testing is a plus
  • Knowledge of mortgage industry and Freddie Mac’s AIM offering is a plus
