We are looking for competent and professional Restaurant Server to take orders accurately and efficiently in person or over the phone and serve meals and drinks to customers. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure customer satisfaction and augment our establishment’s reputation. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences.

Our chef owner started his Thai cooking journey 21 years ago. In 2006, we opened our first Thai home-style restaurant in New York City and the flavor of Thai Elephant was extended to Patterson NY in 2011. Our Pad Thai was selected as Grub Hub's customer favorite consecutively since 2012. In 2021, we brought our delicious food and great service to a brand-new location in Ormond Beach. We’d like you to help us bring sweet, spicy, savory, and sour flavors to our new neighborhood.

Restaurant Server responsibilities include answering the phone to take orders and service the customers remotely, take orders in person, ensure our tables are sanitized and ready when guests arrive, present menus, and serve food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to provide high-quality, impeccable service that will help us attract and keep our valuable customers.

Responsibilities

• Answer the phone and respond to customers’ needs and/or concerns
• Ensure delivery teams have what they need to satisfy our customers
• Show customers to their seats and present our variety of menu options including specials
• Advise on the best food and drink choices for each customer and answer questions; answer questions and make recommendations for complementary food or drink options

• Take orders accurately, upsell applicable food or beverage items, and deliver completed order to the kitchen quickly
• Check for accuracy and quality on to-go and in-person orders and ensure all applicable utensils and condiments are included; resolve any issues quickly and efficiently
• Attend to tables and guarantee compliance to cleanliness standards
• Deliver checks and accept payment in person or on the phone
• Collaborate with other restaurant staff

• Work diligently to achieve outstanding service quality
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Server, Retail, or Customer Service, and/or working knowledge of cash register and any ordering information system is a plus
• Ability to build relationships with teammates and customers and ensure mutual satisfaction
• Must have great communication skills and able to communicate in English
• Patience, customer-oriented, and planning skills; outstanding people skills
• Patient and friendly with demonstrated experience in problem solving
• Good physical condition: ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, and carry at least 20 pounds is a must
• Attention to details, cleanliness, and safety
• Responsible and trustworthy
• High school diploma is a plus but not required
