Sam’s Boat Gulf Coast Kitchen + Sports Bar, a brand synonymous with a great time, outstanding food and stellar sports entertainment is one of the most successful restaurant and bars in Texas. The original Sam’s Boat Restaurant was literally built from a wrecked shrimp boat found stranded on an oyster reef in Galveston Bay in 1980. Our unique blend of a Gulf Coast Kitchen + Sports Bar themed décor, “crave-able” menu items and sports entertainment has allowed us to obtain a cult like following.

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager with a background in high volume casual dining and sports bar operations to join our team as we expand our footprint in the Houston market. This opportunity is for a leader with a solid background in the restaurant bar industry. A highly motivated manager will be offered a competitive salary ($55k – $70k) package, quarterly performance bonus, outstanding benefits and tremendous growth potential. Applicants must be fast-paced, hardworking individuals with a great attitude and integrity and have a minimum of 5 years experience in a full service restaurant.

Strong sales building skills, profit and loss control and a commitment to people development and training is a must. Computer proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and POS knowledge is highly recommended.

RESTAURANT MANAGER APPLICANTS WILL BE EXPECTED TO:

* Establish and meet top-line revenue objectives while meeting COGS, labor goals and strategic cost controls.

* Recruit, select, train, motivate and coach your department’s team of "A" players

* Exhibit outstanding management skills in always providing the best guest experience, maintaining a high-energy environment and nurturing community and industry relations.

* Control purchases and inventory by reviewing weekly results, evaluating COGS and labor reports; analyzing variances; taking corrective actions.

* Maintain outstanding operations by adhering to standard operating procedures; cleanliness, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements.

* Build late-night revenues by creating a high-energy, high-volume restaurant-bar atmosphere with a focus on sports programming and seasonal live music.

* Meet restaurant and bar sales and cost objectives by selecting, orientating, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures.

* Maintain safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems.

Requirements:

• Must have minimum of 3 years full service management experience in a high volume, fast- paced restaurant
• A strong passion for team development, culinary excellence, and guest service
• Ability to communicate and motivate others
• Stable job history which demonstrates upward career and salary progression
