National Base Salary Rate: $18.40 - $22.90/hour

*Rate depends upon state/market*

What will you be doing most days?

Ensures all newly hired team members follow and complete their appropriate training plan, including required electronic paperwork.

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date manpower plan of Department staffing needs.

Prepares schedules and ensures that their department is staffed for all shifts.

Staff, train, retain and develop Cane & Barrel's hourly team members through ongoing feedback and coaching, the establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews on a regular basis.

Identify operational opportunities to build sales and control costs; develop and implement plans to address opportunities (i.e., R&M, marketing).

Perform liquor, wine, and beer check in to ensure proper invoicing.

Ensure proper security procedures are in place to protect team members’, guests’ and Company assets, including security of beer walk-in, liquor room, store room, freezer and office.

Manages inventory efficiently, accurately, and in a cost-effective manner.

Fosters open communication with BOH and FOH staff.

Provide inspirational leadership while supervising and managing team members during day-to-day operations

Assist team members on the floor, behind the bar, and in the kitchen during high demand times, demonstrating functional expertise, and ensuring staffing levels are appropriate to meet business demands

Respond quickly and proactively to guest’s concerns and take ownership of guest feedback until they are addressed and resolved

Create and execute an exciting beach bar entertainment program and effectively manage the events from start to finish.

Effective communication on key social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest

Stay informed of market trends and introduce new products and services to drive guest engagement, increase revenue, and ensure a competitive position in the market

Oversee the financial aspects of Cane & Barrel including purchasing, prevention & loss, invoice processing, and payroll

Ability and knowledge of food trailer operations and efficiencies.

What are the requirements for this position?

You have prior experience in a high volume beach bar and restaurant, and/ or bar brand with live entertainment

You have a post-secondary diploma or degree in a field of study related to this profession or 4 years of experience in a comparable position and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

You have detailed knowledge of bar operations with track record of strong leadership and strategic planning skills and proven achievements in optimizing guest and team member engagement

You possess strong interpersonal relations and leadership abilities

You have a strong understanding of food & beverage operations, as well as, financials and budgeting systems with a clear understanding of cost controls and driving topline revenue

You have a professional business appearance and demeanor aligned with Cane & Barrel brand and culture

You have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills and the flexibility to meet the demands of a 7 day a week operation

You demonstrate a passion for people with a strong network of contacts within the local events and restaurant/bar industry

Physical Requirements for this Position

This can be a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.

Travel Requirements

This may require around 10% of travel time.
