  • Act 33/34/73 Clearances
  • Pre-Employment Physical/TB
  • Pre-Employment Drug Screen
  • Must pass Initial Medication Training within first year of employment

WORK SCHEDULE: This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position.

  • Tuesday-Saturday 3P - 10:30P
  • These hours are subject to change according to program need.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will work in an Intellectual Disabilities Residential program in the Brighton Heights area that currently has 3 individuals. The Residential Support Specialist is an entry level position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assistance and training to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. This position is designed to provide quality support to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities as outlined in the ISP. This position is directly responsible to the Team Lead and Supervisor and expected to operate with considerable initiative and professionalism with all staff and partners outside of Mercy. Staff will be expected to relocate as needed to meet minimum staffing needs for each site. In the event of unforeseeable emergencies, staff may be required to stay until relief staff arrive.

In any given day, you might cook, clean, bathe, manage medications, take residents to appointments, shop for residents, interact with family members, and take residents on outings.
