ABOUT THE ROLE
The Residential Program Coordinator will partner with residents to set goals and develop strategies to meet those goals. Program Coordinators plan and facilitate weekend and other recreational activities, ensuring that participants maximize their community involvement. Your workday will include:

  • Case management, including writing service logs, goal tracking, weekly participant updates, monthly progress notes, and more
  • Administrative and office management tasks
  • Staff meetings, supervisions and professional development
  • Transporting participants in company vehicles (up to 15 passenger vans) and your own vehicle

ABOUT YOU
Ideal candidates for the role of Residential Program Coordinator bring a positive attitude, empathic interpersonal skills, and common sense.
A successful candidate is:

  • Socially intelligent and comfortable around clients with different needs and ability levels
  • Patient and adaptive to clients' day-to-day needs
  • Organized and able to keep up with records and paperwork
  • A great verbal and written communicator and an empathic listener

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or high school diploma or equivalency
  • Experience working with people with disabilities, preferably in a residential setting.
  • A valid driver's license
  • CPR and First Aid certifications (or ability to pass within the first 30 days of employment)
  • MAP certification (or the ability to pass within the first 6 months of employment)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Comfort with physical requirements which may include lifting, physically assisting clients, or bending/kneeling
