Night shift is eligible for a $2.00/hr shift differential and a $750.00 Loyalty bonus. Loyalty bonuses are paid out in installments.

Summary: Primary duties include checking on grounds and house at night, writing end of shift report, some documentation into Electronic Medical Records. May be supporting clients through a nightly routine. Advocates for excellent patient care within BestCare Treatment Services Residential facility. Must be willing to become a Certified Recovery Mentor or Peer Support Specialist within 6 months to help support and manage clients.

Language: English/Spanish bilingual preferred - Bilingual candidates will receive an additional increase

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other staff as a member of a treatment team
  • Maintain cleanliness of house and all work areas
  • Work with the treatment team to maintain a healthy treatment milieu
  • Ensure the safety of clients by making rounds for bed checks and being aware of client locations at all times
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in client files
  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program Supervisor or Director

Experience and Education Minimum Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent

2. Prior experience, training, knowledge and demonstrated competence in the treatment of the disease of addiction, including the management of withdrawal.

3. Must possess an Oregon Driver’s license and be able to obtain approval through our BestCare Driver’s clearance process.

4. Current CPR Certification or have the ability to be certified with six weeks of employment.

5. Bi-lingual Spanish/English - spoken & written required with Madras Program; preferred with other programs.

6. For individuals recovering from the disease of alcoholism and or from other drug addiction, they must have maintained continuous sobriety for the immediate past two years at the time of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of and ability to take client evaluations.

2. Familiarity and ability to exercise motivational counseling techniques;

3. Skills in taking and recording of vital signs.

Tools and Equipment used:

Blood pressure machines, digital and manual, computer, fax machine, copy machine and telephone.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Must be available to work any/all shifts including weekdays, weekends, holidays for a 24/7 residential facility.
