Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator.

The Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Fellowship Directors of the accredited programs in the Department of Psychiatry. He/She helps to ensure the smooth management and functioning of the operation of the Department of Psychiatry concerning the fellowship programs and provides administrative support to the Vice Chair of Education and Director of Residency program.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Provides administrative support services to the Fellowship Program Directors to facilitate the efficient operation of the psychiatry accredited fellowship programs.
    • Coordinates activities related to recruitment of new residents and fellows. These include key activities such as recruitment events, screening, interviewing, reference checks and orientation.
    • Maintains data system management of program (New Innovations).
    • Coordinates the educational functions of the multiple programs including the timely dissemination of information and documentation, which is necessary for the efficient operation of the training program.
    • Coordinates and facilitates activities related to the fellows’ successful completion of the program and preparation for the Board Exam. These include activities such as:
      • Scheduling of fellows’ rotations, clinic hours and/or schedules
      • Arranging for extracurricular activities including training and educational activities
      • Counseling current and incoming fellows on such issues as scheduling, specific rotation requirements, annual sick leave, benefits, policy and procedures, survival skills, etc.
      • Documenting ongoing fellows training and completion of training
      • Scheduling evaluations of all fellows in program; supervising maintenance, confidentiality and accessibility of fellowship files.
    • Sets up and maintain documentation and complex records for the fellowship Program Directors.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a BA Degree plus 2-3 years of responsible office administration experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience; excellent communication, interpersonal, computer and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters in Health care administration, business or education administration preferred.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $55,595.28 - $81122.84 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
