As a Research Technician for Engineering Plastic business, you will build a meaningful career while supporting Budd Lake Product Development operation in Budd Lake, New Jersey.
During your time as a Research Technician you will…

Perform plastic materials testing per ASTM, ISO or customer specifications. Generate and collect testing data from laboratory evaluations. Complete and interpret data and issue reports as requested. Develop nessesary knowledge of equipment and procedures to provide expertise to the internal and external customers. Complete laboratory projects and interact with product scientists and application engineers. Generate ideas that improve the safety, efficiency and overall effectiveness of the laboratory and the team.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Have a BS degree with credits in applied math and science. Knowledge of different materials and chemistry a plus. 5 years of work experience in the technical field is a plus. Own strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with detailed orientation and ability to learn to operate various types of testing instrumentation. Possess ability to understand Quality Management System and requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and IATF 16949 standards. Have experience in project management and ability to manage multiply tasks independently or with the team collaboration. Own strong safety orientation and behaviors, OSHA and HAZMAT training is a plus. Possess strong communication, organizations skills as well as strong computer skills, such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat , Adobe Photoshop.
