The Talent Acquisition team implements the organization's recruitment strategy so that job vacancies are quickly filled, new employees are smoothly integrated into the organization and the candidates selected best match the needs of the position and the business. Recruitment activities may include advertising, interviewing, testing, selecting candidates; checking references; negotiating employment offers; relocation; orientation and introductory training.

This role in summary

As an Executive Research Specialist for the Executive Talent Acquisition team, you will identify, attract, and convert diverse qualified candidates for Whirlpool Corporation. Reporting to our Director, Executive Talent Acquisition, you will serve as research consultant for Whirlpool’s in-house Executive Talent Acquisition team and play a key role in building talent pipelines for active and passive recruiting campaigns. You will use a Candidate Relationship Management system (CRM) and partner closely with Executive Recruiters and Executive Clients to define the marketplace, build and execute on sourcing initiatives, and deliver outstanding talent.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Create and execute research strategies to identify, curate, and acquire top talent
  • Partner with the Executive Talent Acquisition team, HR Business Partners, Business Leaders, and other key stakeholders
  • Develop candidate target lists to identify prospects for active recruiting and strategic pipeline development
  • Provide recommendations and active research to deliver diverse hiring pools
  • Develop, manage, and disseminate recurring talent intelligence reports on organizational, industry-wide, and functional talent market trends
  • Capture and maintain robust candidate information in our CRM/ATS system
  • Interpret talent market data and make clear, compelling presentations to inform the selection process

Minimum requirements

  • 2 or more years of executive talent research/sourcing experience in either an agency or an in-house setting, or 1 year of relevant experience with an MBA
  • Project experience developing search strategies and building sourcing plans
  • Experience recruiting diverse slates of top talent
  • Expertise working within recruiting technology platforms (Avature, Loxo, proprietary CRMs, Lightcast, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities, multi-task, and balance multiple projects/timelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA is a plus

This position supports roles at our HQ in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and requires regular in-office time on a hybrid model. We strongly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance to Benton Harbor/St. Joseph, or who are willing to relocate to the area. Relocation assistance is available.
