Hello!

We are MASTER (Mid-Atlantic Scottish Terrier Education and Rescue) and we are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented person to help take care of rescued dogs. This position will include feeding, cleaning, light handling, and administering medication for dogs. This is a hands-on job that does require a lot of work at times and is physically demanding. This job would be perfect for anyone who loves dogs and would like to make a difference in a dog's life as they find them a forever home. This job requires someone who will be willing to work with dogs who were previously neglected. To work here, it is important that you have your own vehicle, good time management skills, and are comfortable with dogs.

Shift start times:

8:30 AM

3:30 PM

7:30 PM

Shifts end when all tasks are completed, but most shifts are not longer than 2-3 hours.

Responsibilities:

• Provide food and clean water

• Administer medication

• Provide enrichment

• Cleaning of facilities, vacuum, mopping

• Provide a safe and sanitary place for dogs

• Alert managers of abnormalities in animal behavior or suspected injuries

• Punctuality is important

Requirements:

• 18+
• Detail-oriented

• You will need to have the ability to prepare medications and food for multiple dogs and keep things organized. A list and chart will be provided to help with the organization.

• Must have your own transportation to and from the job.

• Must have a willingness to learn. We will teach you everything you need to know but you have to be willing to learn the information, apply it, and provide a safe and sanitary space for the dogs.
• This job is not complicated but it is tedious, so attention to detail and a good work ethic will take you a long way.
