Replenishment Manager (Sunrise) Job at Pet Supermarket
Location: Sunrise, Florida
What will you do?
- Supervise processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation & utilization of the pick areas
- Drive workflow in the DC, including readily available product, stocking, picking, and administrative activities to ensure objectives are met in an efficient manner.
- Attend daily warehouse meetings and interact with line supervisors and senior management to ensure shift objectives are being met.
- Direct the functions and personnel of a shift or function to achieve desired results per the daily operations objectives
- Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and disciplining subordinates.
- Monitor approved labor standards to ensure a productive labor force.
- Participate in the annual budget process to assure all expenses are covered and justified.
- Assist in the recruiting and development of Supervisors in training.
- Collaborate with Senior Warehouse Manager on the DC safety programs (forklift training, conveyor operation) for the assigned shift to ensure the safety of all team members within the workplace
- Assures proper product is picked properly and accurately for all custom orders
- Maintain efficient productivity standards in all pick areas
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ensures associates are trained/cross-trained and certified in operational specifics as well as high involvement skills.
- Assists in the development of associates and working supervisors.
- Assesses level of teams, identifies possible working supervisor candidates, and delegates well to stimulate growth.
- Coaches to ensure learning.
- Gives authority and autonomy to match team readiness; enjoys others success.
- Works closely with the training group to ensure training is relevant and utilized effectively and efficiently
- The operations will include support for customer service, retail stores and support operations
- Set and maintain departmental service level goals; report key findings to colleagues and Senior Warehouse Manager
- Management of overall fulfillment center operations including but not limited to cycle counts, quality control, product prep for selectors, reporting needs, inventory organization and day-to-day operations
- Ensure timely problem resolution to ensure efficient and effective fulfillment procedures
- Communicate effectively with all Managers and Supervisors
What will you need to succeed?
Education and Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of operations management experience in a wholesale or retail.
- Broad knowledge of warehouse management systems, automated pick systems, and voice picking
- Analytical skills to include planning, organizing, directing and controlling workflow and processes.
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to make sound decisions
- Ability to direct others
- Ability to delegate both routine and important tasks and decisions
- Strong time management skills
