Responsibilities & Requirements:
Job Responsibilities
  • Job duties are to assist with the facilitation and the maintenance of accreditation and regulatory compliance in all Kettering Health Network facilities and outpatient sites as required by regulatory agencies such as Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Standards and Conditions of Participation (CoP’s) and the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) etc.
  • Assists with the coordination, preparation and support of Mock Surveys. Provides clinical support for unannounced Regulatory Surveys of all types as requested/required.
  • Communicates survey findings to appropriate leaders and assists with the creation and timely submission of clinical corrective action plans as directed.
  • Assists with the preparation and support of various regulatory compliance presentations of an educational nature and acts as an Ad Hoc committee member to relate/explain regulatory guidelines or changes as needed.
  • Responsible for monitoring the HFAP and CMS websites to report new standards/interpretive guidelines to management, for the development of the HFAP newsletter.
  • Maintains a working relationship with Executive and Senior Leadership, department managers, physicians and organizational leadership regarding the organization of and accuracy of action plan reports and all documentation required with regard to regulatory and accreditation surveys.
  • In addition, this role includes the CMS/HFAP standard coordination for the physical plant, environment of care, and Life Safety Liaison and disaster planning responsibilities.
  • Prepares and submits HFAP applications for all facilities, in a timely manner prior to Triennial Survey as required.
  • Includes other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Job Qualifications
Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN or CCNE)
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required or within the first year
  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field required
