Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
  • Responsible for the oversight of the Bariatric Clinic. This includes training and management of clinic staff. Ensures personal, professional and behavioral standards are being achieved by the clinic staff. Responsible for Human Resource functions to achieve this measure.
  • Responsible for all aspects of MBSAQIP Center of Excellence functions. Responsible to lead and participate in Monthly MBS committee meetings.
  • Identifies streamlining and process improvement opportunities within the Bariatric Clinic.
  • Responsible for providing educational opportunities with clinic and assisting with hospital staff education.
  • Assist Program Director as a clinical resource with program development and improvements.
  • Responsible for Insurance Accreditations and meeting all measures to obtain these accrediations.
  • Responsible for all clinical aspects and Utica Park requirements for the Bariatric Clinic. This includes all compliance measures.
  • Act as a liaison between the hospital, UPC and the bariatric office.
  • Serve as patient liaison/advocate for all bariatric patients in the hospital.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with members of the hospital community, especially staff in the surgery, medicine, nursing, medical records, and information systems departments and individual bariatric surgeons’ offices whose support is necessary for the management and success of the program.

Qualifications:
Requirements
  • Must have at least a BSN
  • Must hold an active current Registered Nurse license
  • A minimum of 3 years RN experience. Previous Charge or leadership experience preferred.
