Title: Registered Nurse Med Surg Job in Concord, NH
Job Description Summary: We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) 2 for our Surgical Specialties - Med Surg unit to provide nursing care to a group of adult patients with multi-system issues in a safe and therapeutic environment. As an RN, you will use your knowledge of growth and development principles to assess patient status and identify age-specific requirements. You will work collaboratively with healthcare workers, engage in caring relationships with patients and families, and perform nursing and medical interventions. You will adhere to specialty standards and organizational guidelines, and report to the Director and/or Nurse Manager.
Education: Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
Certification, Registration & Licensure: Registered Nurse - New Hampshire Board of Nursing, Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
Experience: One year prior clinical nursing experience with evidence of the ability to work effectively and positively with patients, care providers, and the multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
Apply principles of purposeful, organized thinking to make clinical judgment/decisions
Gather data through history taking and physical assessment to plan and implement interventions to meet patient care needs
Develop, evaluate, and revise patient's plan of care and nursing actions in response to patient's needs
Document care provided and patient's progress toward desired outcomes
Direct and supervise others in the performance of delegated nursing activities
Teach patients and/or significant others about the plan of care and prepare them to manage their care after discharge, transfer, or procedure/test
Manage time and resources to deliver patient care
Administer medications to patients
Lead the healthcare team
Serve as a Resource Person for assigned shift
Serve as a preceptor for new employees
Perform job-specific requirements and other duties as assigned
