Surgical Services at Augusta Health combines community care with state-of-the-art technology to provide high quality and patient centered care. Nurses are vital to this quality patient care.

As a PACU/Outpatient Surgery nurse, you will support our patients in the perioperative phases of care. Also, you will ensure a safe post-operative environment while performing critical care for patients immediately after surgery as well as coordination of Pre-Admission details. We are looking for someone who is energetic and likes to work in a fast-paced environment. The RN is responsible for collaboration with the anesthesia providers while developing the plan of care for patients of varying acuity levels providing care for patients having elective and emergent procedures. The PACU/OPS RN will also be responsible for providing care to patients in the outpatient surgery setting during the pre and post-operative phase of care.

We currently have a full time Registered Nurse (RN) position open in our PACU/Outpatient Surgery Unit . The Registered Nurse is accountable for the coordination of direct patient care, education, and serves as a leader of the patient care team. The RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience preferred
  • BSN or ADN currently enrolled in a BSN program preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • Positive attitude, with enthusiasm for caring for our community
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills
