Registered Dietitian – CDN Req’d | Flexible Hours!

Schedule: 35 hrs/week FLEX hours; Monday-Friday No Weekends

Salary: $59k-$64k

We currently have an opportunity for a Registered Dietitian To provide medical nutrition therapy which will enhance the health and well-being of individuals.

Specifically, you will:

• Provide medical nutrition therapy to individuals and agency staff. Develops specialized diets to aid in the management of medical conditions such as: diabetes, renal disease, celiac disease, hyperlipidemia and other medical conditions.
• Conduct nutritional assessments including dietary history, medical history, anthropometric measurement, biochemical assessment and pharmaceutical assessment as needed to determine dietary requirements.
• Provide information on healthful meal planning, grocery shopping and meal preparation.
• Complete comprehensive nutritional assessments and follow-up progress notes.
• Recommend specialized diets to primary care physician. Obtains signed diet orders and trains residential staff regarding implementation of the diet orders.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings & scheduled supervisory sessions.
• Assist in assignments as instructed by supervisor.

We require:

• Registered Dietitian
• At least one (1) year experience working with I/DD population preferred.
• NYS Dept. of Education Certification mandatory (CDN)
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and needs to be and remain a QUALIFIED driver.
