Regional Sales Manager, Certicom
**REMOTE - Detroit Area**
It’s an exciting time to join us!
Certicom, part of BlackBerry’s IOT business unit, develops security solutions for various industries including medical, manufacturing, industrial and automotive. Our solution encompasses many different technologies, including PKI, Secure Cryptographic Asset Management System, Quantum Resistant Code signing & key management solutions, and embedded cryptographic security software used to enable comprehensive end-to-end security.
SUMMARY
Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and leveraging relationships directly (at a senior level) with customers & channel partners to help refine/define and sell Certicom security solutions into our global target markets. We are looking for a results-driven and collaborative individual with knowledge of point security solutions such as PKI as well as strong solutions sales & business development experience who is truly passionate about winning new business .
Responsibilities
  • Influencing the adoption of Certicom’s solutions through strong relationships with identified targeted accounts worldwide
  • Partnering with the global IOT sales organization to influence the overall sales strategy as well as providing recommendations for new opportunities
  • Creating, building, and managing a sales pipeline, tracking activities through the various stages of the sales funnel process
  • Participating in regional industry trade shows, including delivery of seminars to a diverse audience, including end-user influencers and buyers
  • Identifying new market requirements, product features and pricing/positioning strategies to make us successful in the market
  • Identifying and developing new technology and channel partnerships
*Please note that this role will involve travel*
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Qualifications
  • Direct experience working in the relevant software or security industries, with experience in the embedded security industry being a significant plus
  • Previous solution sales B2B experience, ideally gained within embedded software/security industries (such as automotive or medical or industrial)
  • Experience successfully translating and communicating key technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Confident and effective communicator
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
