Freedom Solar Power
is looking for a skilled and motivated Regional HR Generalist to join our rapidly growing team. This individual will play a key role on our team in supporting our business administratively in several HR functions, including the following: benefits, HRIS management, employee relations, policy and compliance, onboarding, orientation, as well as various HR audits. The Regional HR Generalist will have the opportunity to assist in the implementation of a variety of new HR processes and programs. Because the responsibilities of this role are diverse, the ideal candidate will be a resourceful person with a passion for HR who has the ability and desire to learn quickly. This is an on-site position based at our local Denver, CO (80229) and Colorado Springs, CO (80919) offices.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Manages new hire onboarding to include pre-employment screening, tracking, and collecting all paperwork, verifying I-9 documentation, and assisting employees as needed through the onboarding process.
  • Responds to garnishments and employment verifications.
  • Assists with performance reviews, processing warnings, and terminations.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Participates in the implementation of effective employee relations practices.
  • Maintains compliant employee personnel files to include routine audits and updates to HRIS.
  • Assists with intake and management of workers’ compensation claims, short-term disability, FMLA, FFCRA, and OSHA records.
  • Continually thinks of ways to improve HR efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Willingness to learn about benefits and assist employees with questions/problems.
  • Responds to employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, and payroll.
  • Provides administrative support to the HR Director, CEO, and other members of the management team.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of Human Resource experience is required; HR experience in solar, construction, or electrical fields is highly desired.
  • Prior experience with a leading HRIS and/or Workforce ADP is strongly preferred.
  • Multi-state HR experience highly preferred (currently in TX, CO, FL, VA, and NC).
  • Must be 21 years old, have a valid Driver’s License, and clean MVR to be approved to drive company vehicles.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently under remote directions.
  • Ability to problem solve and handle non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interpreting guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices.
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
  • Highly process and detail-oriented.
  • Good judgment and the ability to ask for help when needed.
  • Ability to work with diverse and strong personalities to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
