Position Summary


We are seeking a Recruitment Specialist to join our Corporate Human Resources team. The position assists with a variety of recruiting functions; primarily responsible for recruitment and pre-employment activities and providing administrative support to the recruiting and HR operations team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the inputting and tracking of new job requisitions into the recruiting system.
  • Responsible for pre-employment activities to include background checks and reference checks.
  • Prepare offer letters and track the approval process.
  • Communicate with hiring managers and recruiters on ther status of pending new hires.
  • Recruit for entry-level positions for construction, warranty, and coordinator roles.
  • Assist HR team and field managers with new hire questions.
  • Assists employees with forms, requests and other information; interprets policies and procedures.
  • Partners with IT to ensure new hire equipment is ordered.
Requirements
  • 1-3+ years of recruiting or HR experience.
  • College degree required.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self Starter with a disciplined approach.
  • Ability to multitask and juggle priorities.
  • Proactive, motivated, and strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Subject to applicable laws, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by start date under M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. vaccination mandate for all employees who will be working in the Corporate/Home Office at 4350 S. Monaco St. effective Nov. 1st, 2021.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $50,000-$60,000
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
