Responsibilities:
General Function:
This position is mainly responsible for reconciling the loan system balances to the corporate general ledger. Additionally, this position will provide a month-end reconcilement of loan operations variances to the Accounting Department.

Essential Responsibilities:
Reconcile the SilverLake loan system balances, comparing them to the Corporate General Ledger
  • Research and resolve any system account discrepancies, including unposted items
  • Process general ledger entries or prepare loan maintenance
  • Monitor loan payment suspense
  • Reconcile the in-process accounts on a daily basis by monitoring and clearing outstanding items by processing general ledger entries or preparing loan payments/reversals as needed
  • Provide a month-end reconcilement of loan processes to Supervisor and properly document any variances that exist
  • Use various systematic tools on a daily basis to effectively perform required duties (e.g. SilverLake, Smart GL, 4Sight and Synergy).
  • Communicate with other departments/branches regarding exception issues as they arise
  • Cooperate with other members of the department to achieve departmental goals
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all-job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion

Basic Qualifications:

Education, Training and Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent relative work experience preferred
Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and work effectively under time constraints
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Excel
Experience:
  • Working knowledge of required documentaiton for all loan types
Other Job Information:
Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday 8:15-5:00; overtime as required
