We have one full-time opening for a Receptionist in Cairo IL

Hours of Work: 40 hours

Minimum Qualifications: High School/GED equivalent, 1+ years of experience in a health care, mental health, or social services environment as a receptionist is preferred.

Skills & Knowledge: Typing/word processing, computer ability with standard programs and databases, filing, spelling, decision-making, problem-solving, receptionist skills, organization and planning, self-motivation, time management and the ability to work without close supervision. Must have well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask, manage stressful situations and maintain a professional demeanor. Excellent communication skills required.

Special Requirements: Must be 21 years of age; maintains a valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance; maintain First Aid & CPR certification; must complete required registry clearances and criminal fingerprint background checks; travel to all agency sites when appropriate.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greets the public in a manner which reflects a professional and positive agency image daily.
  • Accurately receives records and relays messages according to agency guidelines daily.
  • Answers/transfers Arrowleaf phones in a manner which reflects a professional and positive agency image daily while accurately recording / relaying messages to appropriate staff.
  • Accepts consumer payment and prepares a payment record or receipt (depending on payment type), secures monies and payment records/receipts.
  • Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Ability to screen and assess for consumers that are exhibiting symptoms of trauma or crisis during the referral process.
  • Assists Psychiatric clinic coordinators on clinic days as needed to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Types, files and analyzes agency related correspondence and other documentation daily.
  • Maintains adequate supply of brochures/handbooks in lobby.
  • Scans various documentation into Electronic Health Systems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitors and maintains office supplies as needed.
