JOB SUMMARY:

The Receiving Associate is responsible for validating, processing, inspecting and stocking incoming shipments, along with pulling orders in an effective and prompt manner. This person must pay close attention to small details while working in a face pace environment. They must perform job safely and accurately and ensure orders ship time. This position will also need to be able to effectively communicate with customers and drivers consistently and ensure customer satisfaction.

You will report to the Supply Chain Manager.

This position will be on-site, South Houston, Texas location.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process, inspect and validate incoming packages.
• Forklift utilization – Load and unload trucks safely.
• Pull orders accurately and timely.
• Utilize scales, tape measure, calipers to ensure accuracy when verifying product / orders.
• Perform basic PC task: data entry, email, uploading pictures, scan documents, etc.
• Must be able to utilize ERP software.
• Produce, print, and apply labels on incoming shipments and parts accurately and swiftly.
• Maintain and organize area for safety and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with other personnel and departments.
• Transact inventory in Epicor ERP software utilizing RF scanner and on PC.
• Perform stock checks and count parts accurately.
• Deliver part and stock parts accurately and swiftly.
• Must work in other areas and perform other task as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good PC skills (email, scan & upload documents, internet, Microsoft Office, etc.).Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Work Independently with minimum supervision.
• Forklift Experienced.
• Utilize tools for measurements and counting (tape measure, weight & count scales, etc.).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be flexible with work-schedule to work late, come in early, work Weekends and Overtime.
• Must be "On-Call" come in late evenings, nights, early morning, and weekends when scheduled.

Education

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.

Work Experience

• 2 years of Shipping Experience in Manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
• Continuous standing and/or walking.
• Overtime & weekends availability.
• Moderate physical effort- working frequently with average weights of ten to fifty pounds or continuously with lighter weights.
• Good eye/hand/foot coordination.
• Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions.
