Radiation Therapist Job at Amarillo Urology Associates
Panhandle Cancer Care is looking for a Full Time Radiation Therapist.
The Radiation Therapist duties in the daily operations of the Panhandle Cancer Care Center are delivering ionizing radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist, supports PC3 team with schedule coordination, EMR management and other duties which involve inpatient and outpatient services ranging from adolescense to geriatric age groups.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS PERFORMANCE STANDARDS MET WHEN:
1.) Administer and monitor radiation 1a. Begin and maintain the prescribed course of treatment
therapy treatments. accurately and safely.
1b. Monitors and reports patient side effects and the
therapeutic responses to radiation oncologist.
2.) Organizational work role 2a. Organizes and prioritizes to meet patient needs and
works toward building and maintaining a positive,
caring relationship between therapist and patient.
2b. Coordinates and implements daily scheduling working
to accommodate patients using discretion
for changing or prioritizing appointments.
2c. Supports CT simulations at AUA on scheduled days
Friday mornings and Monday afternoons as treatment
schedule allows.
2d. Adapt to contingency planning in response to variables.
3.) Professionalism & Caregiving 3a. Understands and respects the patient’s Bill of Rights
and patient confidentiality.
3b. Provides kind, compassionate and safe care to patients
as well as consideration and understanding for families
and co-workers. Must possess excellent people skills and
treat patients, family members, and co-workers with respect
at all times.
4.) Effective management 4a. Demonstrates skilled performance in emergencies and
rapid grasp of problems.
4b. Diligent with documentation when using Aria’s EMR.
Provides daily and weekly EMR monitoring checks
for any prescription and order change.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Graduate of an ARRT accredited training program
Currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Therapeutic.
Current State of Texas license.
EXPERIENCE: Demonstrates a knowledge base and experience to successfully function within the position.
Experience with radiation oncology billing is a plus. Also experience with VMAT, SBRT, & SRS is also a plus.
