Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform donor record file review, which includes medical reports, equipment incidents, and communication
- Perform equipment quality control review
- Review medical reports and communication
- Verification and release of donor testing samples and plasma shipment
- Responsible for the inspection and release of incoming supplies
- Initiate and review deviation reports as needed
- Reviews the documentation of unsuitable test results and the disposition of the associated units
- Review donor adverse events
- Perform Employee Observations/Initiate Immediate Corrections
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, Associates degree preferred.
- Six (6) months experience in a similar role: record review, employee performance training, analysis, or inspection of equipment required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Explicit attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to self-direct
- Ability to read and interpret documents to include technical instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to problem solve ad make decisions
Physical Requirements
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knee
- Ability to train in a plasma collection area
- Ability to stand for extended periods for up to four (4) hours at a time
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time for up to (4) hours and view a computer screen
- Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifty (50) pounds
Work Environment
- A typical work environment with a moderate noise level
- May be exposed to freezing temperatures for short periods of time
- Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
