Summary

The Quality Manager is responsible to manage all activities associated with the efficient operation of accounts in the General Assembly (GA). This includes ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance, employee relations and safety.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Quality Management System in the General Assembly building on the customer site.
  • Provides regular and proactive communication to customers and Ryder management. Supports continuous improvement efforts as needed.
  • Reports the effectiveness of the Quality Management System at regular management meetings.
  • Supports both Ryder and the customer certification requirements.
  • Assists in implementing and maintaining customer satisfaction, including representing at customer "VOC" Voice of the Customer meetings.
  • Performs all functions related to Quality Assurance for a start-up or expansion
  • Engage the operations team and the customer to ensure achievement of business objectives
  • Supports Continuous Improvement deployment using fundamentals of Lean and Six Sigma
  • Provide training on Quality Assurance topics to identified employees
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Applies judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
  • Three (3) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
  • Two (2) years or more managing and leading direct reports required
  • Excellent knowledge of Warehouse Logistics operations. advanced required
  • Experience in a production environment
  • Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements. advanced required
