Position Summary: Responsible to assist the Vice President of Quality Improvement and Risk Prevention in maintaining the quality control, quality standards, and quality assurance program methods and procedures for the organization.

Specific job responsibilities and goals include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain YFA policies and procedures for Residential and Community Counseling Programs.
  • Maintain proficiency with DJJ and DCF Policies and Procedures and contract requirements.
  • Monitor Residential and Community Counseling performance indicators and success metrics using NetMIS, JJIS, Celerity, or other internal sources.
  • Monitor day-to-day compliance in the Residential Programs to ensure funder and internal requirements are being met.
  • Provide monitoring assistance for Candace Behavioral Health, Medicaid required processes.
  • Lead Residential and Community Counseling minimum quarterly reviews and provide findings to the VP of QI and Compliance.
  • Issue corrective action for areas needing improvement and monitor until improved performance is evident.
  • Track progress on external corrective actions and performance improvement plans for the program and report status to VP of QI and Compliance.
  • Conduct special in-depth reviews as outlined in YFA Risk Management policy on Internal Investigations/Critical Incident Review Team.
  • Conduct Homeless Children Nutrition Program Sponsor site reviews as required by the Department of Health.
  • Assist in the preparation for external/funder Monitorings (Florida Network, DCF Licensing, Lead Agencies) and be present during their onsite visits.
  • Participate in Florida Network Peer Review training and attend minimum of one review per year hosted by the Florida Network.
  • Assist with monitoring training requirements for Residential and Community Counseling new hires, and provide support during their onboarding period.
  • Provide in-service and group training sessions as needed on a variety of Residential and Community Counseling duties.
  • Promote quality throughout the agency by acting as a resource to and educating staff on key functions and activities of the agency’s CQI efforts.
  • Represent the agency on internal and external Quality Improvement related committees and/or work groups.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual CQI Plan.
  • Contribute to developing the annual CQI Report.
  • Maintain agency compliance with all COA CQI requirements and assist with re-accreditation.
  • Uphold agency Risk Management activities and requirements.
  • Participate in the development, distribution and completion of Stakeholder questionnaires, as well as analyze responses and prepare resulting reports.
  • Monitor actions and/or recommendations identified on incident reports, reviews, etc. are addressed by the Residential staff.
  • Maintain documentation of all key CQI events and functions so that clear, consistent and concise paper trail exists to support CQI activities and results.
Requirements:

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required, related experience in Residential programs, Quality Improvement, and Data Analysis preferred

Physical Requirements: Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis and statewide as needed; ability to lift 30 pounds, bend, stand and sit for extended periods of time.
