Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary:

Dynalec Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager. This position will entail overseeing the entire Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) program at Dynalec Corporation. The candidate will be responsible for not only safeguarding the long-standing quality of our products, but also fostering a “quality culture,” in which all employees become actively engaged in all aspects of quality from order to shipment. This position will require frequent communication across departments, and the manager will regularly participate in executive management meetings.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee the quality assurance team consisting of multiple departments, supervisors, and employees
• Collaborate with the engineering and production departments on a regular basis to identify, document, and implement improvements to our quality processes
• Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output and report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate remediation
• Ensure adherence to all contractual requirements and military specifications
• Coordinate and run government and customer compliance and quality audits
• Conduct Internal Quality audits including Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Welding, Inspection, Test, Shipping, Engineering, and Painting groups
• Manage Dynalec’s Qualified Product List (QPL)
• Ensure all test and inspection equipment is maintained and calibrated
• Conduct vendor performance analysis and ratings
• Analyze, summarize, and report quality data statistics and recommend improvements
• Compile and maintain applicable employee training records
• Review, document, and improve quality documents including work instructions, quality instructions, and procedure manuals

Required Qualifications:

• The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree (BSEE or BSME preferred) or equivalent work experience
• The candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of quality management experience
• The candidate must be able to decipher required military specifications
• The candidate should be familiar with ISO 9000 or MIL-Q-9858
• Ability to read schematics and mechanical and electrical drawings
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Adept with Microsoft Word & Excel
• Experience with IT systems (i.e. enterprise software)
• Procedure writing skills

• Working knowledge of J-Standard IPC.001
• Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) working knowledge
• Working knowledge of Dynalec products a plus
