Job Functions:

  • Able to perform all Buyer-level duties as needed.
  • Supervise and evaluate job performance of purchasing department personnel.
  • Assist Purchasing personnel with daily procurement activities.
  • Coordinate, negotiate, and assist Purchasing personnel with major blanket and/or contract purchase agreement opportunities as appropriate.
  • Perform database analysis of the ERP requirements and inventory levels to assess commitments.
  • Initiate and encourage supply-chain partnership programs for inventory management such as kanban, stock replenishment, etc.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate operating results and statistics related to materials management activities such as MRP exception messages, On-Time Delivery, inventory turn analysis, project materials budget, shipping costs, pending order status, etc.
  • Develop and maintain the company's supplier quality appraisal system and approval process.
  • Lead the efforts in establishing new and maintaining existing supplier relationships to achieve best overall value.
  • Assist the Engineering Department in screening and identifying new suppliers.
  • Assess the risk and develop mitigation strategies to manage the supplier base and cost.
  • Establish and maintain standard policies and lean procedures for Purchasing Department.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives within the Purchasing Department.
  • Negotiate terms of major contracts and purchase orders.
  • Work closely with the Production, Project Management, Engineering, and PPIC groups to maintain schedule and budget and identify opportunities to minimize part shortages.
  • Manage the companies DBE, Buy America, and other procurement requirements as needed.
  • Initiate quoting and competitive bidding of products and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate department and supplier related records.
  • Evaluate and monitor market conditions to maintain appropriate inventory levels while ensuring continuity of supply and cost control.
  • Other functions as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Ability to utilize and manipulate ERP software.
  • Preferred 5 years of applicable experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Experience with multitasking and organization.
  • Ability to interact with all individuals professionally and develop strong working relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong facilitator of change.
  • CPM or APCS certification preferred.
  • Understand the impact of and support BROOKVILLE's Operating Principles.

Pay: Up to $90,000.00 per year
