Petoskey Plastics is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator who will work closely with the Maintenance Coordinators in all four of the Petoskey Plastics manufacturing locations and process requisitions into purchase orders. They will follow the purchase order through the confirmation process, maintain our supply inventory levels and negotiate pricing with vendors for all maintenance related parts. The Purchasing Coordinator will conduct price comparisons, ensuring that Petoskey Plastics is always getting the best possible price on purchased products and follow standard operating procedures as outlined by Petoskey Plastics. This position will require strong organizational, analysis and decision making, multi-tasking, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge and Skills preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management/Business Administration or other relevant discipline
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • At least 2 years of previous Purchasing experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience working in integrated ERP software
  • Experience in negotiation and networking
  • Strong analysis and decision making skills
  • Experience in sourcing and vendor management
