Sympateco is a rapidly growing national cabinet and fixture manufacturer. We offer our clients everything from design to delivery. Our main clients are franchise systems such as Sport Clips, Sola Salon Suites, and Quest Diagnostics.

Our approach to business is to provide our clients a single source solution. We provide design, engineering, project management and construction services. Our 130,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant provides 3D printing, signage, metal fabrication, commercial cabinets, retail displays, solid surface fabrication, interior architectural doors, windows and walls. We have in-house company-owned logistics, providing dock to destination delivery and national installation. In simple terms, the client does the site selection, and we deliver a location with less moving parts for the "best bang for their time and money." Our model is all about providing seamless efficiencies and best practices for the entire build out process while applying standards set by the client to each new store opening.

We are currently seeking an ambitious, organized and self-motivated Purchasing Agent. The ideal candidate will be involved in all purchasing activities. And will be responsible for building a positive working relationship with vendors. This is a tremendous opportunity for an experienced professional to join our growing company.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities.
• Processes requisitions and uses purchasing software to purchase raw materials while reviewing stock levels to avoid overstock issues.
• Sources, selects, and qualifies new suppliers and/or alternative products; and negotiates pricing.
• Determines appropriate sourcing strategies.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with suppliers, wholesalers, and vendors. Manages vendor relationships by evaluating them on price, reliability, and history.
• Works closely with accounting to ensure all invoicing and cost discrepancies are handled timely and with Receiving team to handle receiving variances and over/under shipments.
• Continuously identifies and implements opportunities to lower total cost without jeopardizing quality and overbuying.
• Works to resolve product issues with suppliers, wholesalers, and/or vendors.
• Keeps informed of current market conditions and communicates information regarding demands/supply/capacity issues and supply chain risk to company management.
• Works with various areas of production and design to understand upcoming demand, product changes and current product line needs.
• Obtains sample materials for Product Development projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
