Millennium Luxury Coaches, a large and steadily growing Prevost converter located in Central Florida, is looking for an Experienced Purchasing Agent to help our busy Parts Department.

The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels of components. This hands-on job requires excellent negotiation and financial costing and analysis skills. The culture of our company is fast paced, team-oriented, and highly productive, so you should have a strong eager attitude. This position reports to the Parts Manager.

Millennium Luxury Coaches is a family-owned company, backed by over twenty years of history and experience in the marine, aviation, and luxury coach building industries. The journey of a Millennium Luxury Coach begins in Sanford, Florida, at Millennium’s 100,000 sq. ft. facility where state of the art technology meets old world craftsmanship. While some converters focus on streamlining production through automated equipment, we believe in the quality that comes from a hands-on approach.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

-Maintain accurate inventory levels and source new products as needed

-Authorizing payments and maintain receipts, records and inventories

-Create purchase orders and/or make changes to existing purchase orders

-Contact suppliers to place and/or expedite orders

-Contact suppliers to resolve any differences in invoice billing versus purchase orders.

-Source new products as needed, and new Suppliers to deliver those products

-Research and evaluate potential vendors to determine the suitability of materials, meet new production requirements, and/or replace poor-performing vendors.

-Compare and contrast suppliers prices and relationships to ensure the best price and service

-Keep track of orders that are awaiting stock arrival and follow up with vendor on product due dates.

-Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure all internals goals and deadlines are met

Qualifications:

-Three years purchasing experience (preferred, but not required)

-High school diploma or the equivalent.

-Strong analytical abilities and high attention to detail

-Ability to convey a sense of urgency, persistence, and commitment.

-Quick learner, good organizational skills, multitasker (must be able to handle multiple interruptions and still stay on track with tasks) and be persistent and resourceful.

-Must have experience in sourcing vendors

-Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

-Excellent communication and purchasing skills.

-Must have excellent computer skills.

-Professional personal appearance.

-Must be able to work additional hours or beyond standard schedule with little or no notice.

-Reliable and Regular attendance is essential
