Purchasing Agent/Assistant Job at Eagle Rock Properties
Eagle Rock Properties is a privately held company with over 20 years of experience in acquiring, financing, developing, leasing, managing, and disposing of real estate. Headquartered in Plainview NY, our company has over 250 real estate professionals currently operating roughly 8,000 apartments throughout Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The company is solely focused on Eagle Rock's owned assets and does not third-party manage.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services. Select the most suitable ones in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency to ensure that the company is getting a good deal from the purchase.
- Locating vendors, and negotiating prices for cost savings
- Use Rent Manager and Avid after a renovation, to make sure they have an updated list of all appliances under a 1-year warranty.
- Quality of procured items and addressing the problem when they arise.
- Forecasting purchasing trends.
- tracking all PO/Invoice to evaluate budget and process.
- Create and maintain an inventory management system to ensure reduced spend, proper stock levels, and minimal usage of trips to Home Depot
Other responsibilities
- Move-out inspections.
- Scheduling the exterminators with our Long Island sites.
- Annual inspection.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Economic/Business background.
- Computer savvy
- Customer satisfaction
- Able to multitask (eventually oversee the whole entire portfolio of ER)
- Must be an effective communicator.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail.
- Research and analytical skills
