Job Description

Fluor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and coordinate capital improvement projects work in Newburgh, IN. Candidates local to the Newburgh area are desired.

Job duties include the following:
  • Review the Fluor prime contract and any relevant subcontracts
  • Collaborate in the preparation of the documents associated with the execution of all aspects of the project in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Support the Project Director (PD) in verifying that Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) is emphasized throughout all phases of the project
  • Report to the PD about the status of the project requirements for Baseline Centric Execution, safety, quality, and productivity and assess if those requirements are met by Fluor where work is being performed
  • Prepare a draft for PD approval of the project and ensure that it is fully documented, updated, and communicated to the project team as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

  • 6+ years Project Management experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting required
  • Require 3+ years experience as Project Engineer (mechanical/electrical), or a project role of significant capacity such as Project Controls Lead, Contracts Lead, etc.
  • Require 3+ years experience as a design or construction engineer on projects
  • 2+ years experience overseeing construction job site safety required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Engineering or Business degree preferred
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineer background preferred
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Proven leadership track record required, particularly past successful performance as assistant PM or senior Project Engineer
  • Must have basic understanding of Project Controls and Finance operations such as scheduling, progress measurement, risk assessment, cost control and estimating
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) a plus
