GHD has an excellent opportunity for a Part Time as Needed Construction Inspector to be based out of our Santa Rosa, CA office.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for performing constructability reviews of design documents
- Analyze all technical aspects of construction, review and recommend construction changes to the resident engineer, and perform construction inspection activities for all phases of the project life cycle for their projects
- Serve as a resident engineer's technical representative for the management and inspection of contractor construction activities
- Monitor construction progress and quality and document findings
- Facilitate and/or coordinate resolutions to questions or other construction issues
- Review RFI's, Submittals and Change Orders
- Participate in project meetings and planning sessions
- Coordinate commissioning and start-up testing
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:
- Proficient in reading civil plans and identifying conformance of work to the plans
- Water/wastewater facility experience
- Demonstrated success in problem solving
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Associates degree in a related field is preferred. Non degree candidates with equivalent experience in the construction industry will be considered
- Minimum of 10 years previous experience in construction observation
- 10-hour OSHA Construction Certification preferred

Hourly Rage: $29.00-$44.00 per hour
