Primary Objective:

To provide coordination from the sales and estimating phase of the job, downstream to engineering (CAD) and out to the shop floor. Provide proper communication between UHI and the customer and represent UHI in a professional and friendly manner. Expectations are to satisfy the customer with high quality parts and on time delivery and to make a profit for UHI.

Responsibilities: Should have a minimum of 5

1. Review quote and purchase order with estimating/account manager

2. Schedule kickoff meeting to review process with proper personal

3. Review Data

4. Communicate with customer for proper data level, material type and any issues that may have evolved from kickoff meeting.

5. Create process router / traveler.

6. Request any material that need to be ordered through purchasing

7. Request for quotes for outside work (fixtures, parts, machining)

A) Review quotes and issue purchase order to outside supplier

B) Requesting and insuring proper data is sent to suppliers

8. Establish timing schedule and shipping schedule

9. Follow progress of tooling, material and parts on the floor (daily)

10. Problem solving to help produce product faster, easier and at less cost.

11. Manage and work with suppliers (timing, cost, quality)

12. Quote changes

A) Give cost to estimating / account manager

13. Set up buyoffs with customer

14. Work with Quality Dept.

A) To ensure correct information (Rev. levels and specifications)

15. Relay ECN’s to proper personal when changes come in.

A) Follow up with customer and UHI engineering on data and E/C levels.

B) Issue Process Router / traveler to reflect changes.

C) Follow changes and tooling

16. Shipping.

A) Proper dates, proper quantities, proper addresses.

Standard responsibilities for all UHI employees:

Perform work in accordance with UHI Quality System (Procedures, Work Instructions, etc).

Observe all safety rules and regulations. Follow instructions, identify hazards, and notify appropriate personnel to immediately correct the matter.

Assist and support other department functions where applicable.

Conduct operations in a cost-effective and cost-conscious manner. Assist in identifying any improvements which could lead to cost savings or a process improvement.

Perform good housekeeping in perspective work areas, to eliminate any FOD (Foreign Object Debris).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.96 - $25.23 per hour

  • Project management: 3 years (Preferred)
