Merakey is seeking a Program Specialist to join our Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Services (IDD) division in Chester County, PA Location.

Position Details

The Program Specialist will provide for the safety and well-being of each resident within the home and facilitate community involvement/interaction in cooperation with residents, staff, consultants, and administration. Responsibilities include the development of a suitable framework which provides staff members with the necessary information, training, and supervision so that they can effectively perform their duties in the required manner. The Program Specialist will supervise the development and implementations of the household and individual program routines while ensuring that established policies and procedures are followed. The Program Specialist will serve as a resource person and act as a role model for individual and staff members. The Program Specialist will keep accurate and carefully prepared records related to client development and medical concerns, staff training and progress.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

. The role of the Program Specialist is to develop, coordinate, assess and implement individualized support plans (ISP)/treatment or program plans.

. The Program Specialist provides ongoing services, which are instructional, supportive, supervisory and administrative. These services may be delivered as part of a spectrum of IDD services, including licensed Community Living Arrangements, licensed Family Living programs, licensed Adult Training Facilities, or unlicensed services, such as Home- Based Waiver, or Person/Family Directed Support Services.

. Completion of assessments & quarterly reports are required.

Annual salary $47,500.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree and 1 year experience required OR Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience required OR Associate' Degree or 60 credits and 4 years of experience.
  • Experience must be working directly with persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have your own transportation.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the Behavior Specialist Core training within 6 months of hire date.
  • Must be able to complete Behavior Support plans and supporting documentation.
  • Knowledge of 6100 and 6400 regulations
