The Program Director for the James Baldwin Academy Non Public-School Program is responsible for overseeing the program administration, maintaining all personnel changes and ensuring implementation of the agency’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain a positive school culture for students and staff, demonstrating a commitment to promoting and supporting equitable and inclusive outcomes for all students
  • Work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team to design, manage and supervise the vision and operations of the school
  • Oversee the student referral, intake, enrollment, and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process
  • Oversee outreach services and maintain relationships with referral agencies and community partners
  • Compliance oversight and coordination, including program compliance with Centralized County requirements, MediCal and Joint Commission
  • Coordinate all employee meetings, trainings, and supervision schedules
  • Provide supervision and coaching to the school’s leadership team
  • Ensure that all certification requirements and quality reviews are passed with the highest quality standards in place
  • Ensure that all special education legal requirements are met, including IEP’s, meetings, necessary reports, and paperwork
  • Attend agency-wide administrative meetings and act as a link between the school and other NPS’s, educational programs as well as the larger Seneca Family of Agencies
  • Monitor and intervene as needed with the clients’ behavioral program, including evaluation of and/or physical management of the clients per Seneca Family of Agencies’ Equilibrium model as necessary to ensure safety and provide crisis consultation and investigation as needed
  • Build and monitor a fiscally sustainable budget for the school
  • Oversee all staff interview, hiring, evaluation and termination processes
  • Perform all other duties as deemed necessary by the Executive Director, COO and CEO
Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree, License or Credential in Education, Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working with emotionally disturbed children and their families
  • Two years minimum administrative experience
  • Experience working in a school setting
  • Familiarity with milieu work, including behavior modification techniques
  • Knowledge of the provider system, including school districts, Mental Health and Social Services
  • Program and staff management skills
  • Valid California driver’s license and be insurable
  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprints and any other mandatory state/federal licensing or certification requirements

  • 8:00am - 4:30pm (Monday-Friday)
