Job description:

Our Director of Army Programs will work with Iron Bow’s talented teams to increase revenue, drive our customer, and partner relationships in pursuit of Army Program business.

The Director of Army Programs will oversee, lead, and manage Iron Bow’s Army Programs missions with successful outcomes. The team will primarily focus on activity at PEO-EIS and PRO-C3T. This is a leadership position responsible for providing outstanding thought leadership, organizational and sales skills focused on customer initiatives supporting strategic growth. We expect our Director of Army Programs to have strategic relationships and strong knowledge of the customer’s mission. Successful candidate will have excellent communication, solid understanding of both the Federal customer and our strategic partner’s needs. As a Director you are required to lead, manage, and grow your sales team . Director of Army Programs will have strong attention to detail, high business acumen, history of leading people in large complex organizations, think outside of the box and operate with a sense of urgency and passion. Location: DC metropolitan area is preferred. Travel frequency is depending on home location.

What you’ll do:

  • Candidate must have the ability to develop and execute a strategic growth business plan to drive product and professional services business.
  • Recruit and hire industry leading sales force.
  • Will lead and direct the efforts of a Sales Team to include Customer Support Engineers, Inside Sales Representatives and other internal Program Managers and Engineering resources.
  • Individual will need to have and maintain strong relationships with the Vendor community and OEM counterparts to include developing, leveraging and relationship building between the Vendor and the DoD customer.
  • Candidate must work closely with Vendor Partners to ensure all customer satisfaction and order issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Has and maintains long-term relationship with DOD and Army accounts.
  • Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing clients and drives mission success and growth
  • Proven ability to work with the Systems Integrator community with large SI to 8A and other Small and Disadvantaged Partners
  • Management and Program Management organizational skills to ensure that goods or services are delivered consistently meet client mission needs.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction and sustaining and renewing client contracts.
  • Develops and participates in and leads program capture activities for strategic opportunities and complex program capture in both direct prime and subcontract efforts.
  • Has a strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Army acquisition guidelines. Specifically, Trade Agreements Act (TAA) and Buy America Act (BAA) and Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM).
  • Responsible for all sales and professional service solutions to one or more large, complex Federal Government accounts, both current and prospective. Includes booking, revenue, gross margin, payment and forecasting accountability.
  • Leverages business and community relationships to increase business revenue and margin through information technology solutions sales.
  • Assembles and prepares sales handoff packages in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What we need in you:

  • 16- 18+ years minimum of progressive experience selling and leading sales teams, professional and integration services to DOD.
  • Strong domain knowledge of mission priorities and customer leadership within the AOR
  • Prior related military experience as a Federal Civilian, Military Retired or Former Military within the AOR community is welcomed.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance is preferred.
  • Ability to travel 30% or as needed to execute on our strategic goals.
