The Development Program Associate (Associate) will work as part of a functional team of organizational priority within the centralized development division under the Development Director. The team will be responsible for providing resources and guidance to the New Mexico Business Unit (NMBU), as well as business units across the organization on functions such as research, gift processing, prospect tracking, award management, and stewardship. The Associate will work towards meeting the strategic priorities of the team by implementing tactics for approved plans and organizing varied tasks and activities. They will uphold and execute Department and Business Unit (BU) priorities based on evolving program needs. The Development Program Associate will have contact with partners / donors / Board members and may have a role in program outreach, marketing and communications with internal and / or external audiences.

They will manage, track and run reports on key data related to expectations of the Senior Executive Leadership Team and may provide guidance / support to BU staff on processing and interpreting data. They will be responsible for processing / coding all donations in TNC’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database and work within TNC’s various information systems with Finance Department staff. They will also be responsible for maintaining and augmenting a portfolio of grant awards that support TNC’s conservation work. Preparing applications for funding and tracking awards will also be a key element of this role, as will preparation of acknowledgement letters and drafting correspondence. The Associate must maintain advanced skills with the systems and resources utilized by the team to execute tasks and provide direction to the programs they support. The Associate will communication and / or disseminate information to assist TNC staff in decision making, problem solving and improving workflow. They may be asked to assume additional duties to enhance workflow within the team.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING


  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience building relationships with staff, customers or similar.
  • Experience generating reports and interpreting data.
  • Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • Experience working across teams.
  • Experience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices of relevant field.

SALARY INFORMATION


Hiring Range: $57,500 - $64,000 based on experience
