About the role: The Production Supervisor will lead a diverse team of direct labor employees in producing high quality medical devices and equipment for our customers – directly impacting patients’ lives around the world. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your career as you lead, coach, and mentor your team while creating a culture of engagement and continuous improvement. The Production Supervisor – Weekend Shift will be a part of our Operations team in Maple Grove, MN. The core hours of this shift are flexible but will be required to support our on-site team Friday – Monday.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manufacture products to the highest quality standards and ensure compliance to all Boston Scientific policies and regulations
  • Identify customer requirements to deliver on time at the lowest cost while being responsive and flexible
  • Manage the production line/area and set cross-functional team priorities accordingly
  • Promote safety, quality, and compliance among the team while maintaining strong manufacturing practices within the department
  • Lead the team in achieving a high-engagement and high-performance culture
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and collaboration within the production line/area cross-functional team
  • Manage, motivate, and develop product builders through coaching and performance management while ensuring training is effective and efficient
  • Embed the company values through demonstration and recognition of individual and team behaviors
  • Ensure all resources are in place to achieve production and non-commercial commitments (Product Builders, Equipment, Core Team, Line Support, Space, etc.)
  • Achieve continuous improvement goals (safety, quality, service, cost, space, etc.) through the utilization of operational excellence techniques while ensuring flexibility and versatility
  • Analyze committed build plan requirements and provide production commitments for the production line/area including non-commercial requirements
  • Provide appropriate input into the long-term planning of the production line/area

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of supervisor/management experience
  • Solid computer skills required including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated Lean tools/systems experience
  • Must be able to support the weekend shift (Friday - Monday); hours flexible

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a regulated environment
  • Medical device industry experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter
