Job Description

We manufacture products in paper, plastic and sustainable materials for the food, retail, health and industrial markets.

• This is a 12 hr day shift position. 7 AM - 7 PM 2-2-3 schedule

How You'll Perform The Role

• Leads, assists, motivates, and evaluates shift employees in daily operations, problem resolution, and promotes culture of continuous improvement.
• Promotes and trains on consistent and proactive safety, including audits for compliance, incident reports, investigation on “close calls”.
• Ensures quality specifications are met and procedures are followed.
• Trains team in executing proper company procedures, focusing on safety, quality, and meeting production goals.
• Cross-functional teamwork with HR for payroll processing, personnel or labor issues, and staffing. Cross-functional work with peers to inform on important issues at shift changeover.
• Manages shift to attain production and scrap goals.
• Troubleshoots and resolves process, equipment, and material issues in conjunction with support personnel.

What We Need From You

• High school degree is required.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment a plus.
• Experience in a supervisory role is a plus.
• Position requires individual who can make accurate and timely decisions regarding safety, product quality, production, and waste. Needs keen eyesight (no colorblindness) to spot errors. Will be responsible for identifying waste as it occurs and implementing corrective action.
• Mechanical aptitude essential to understanding process and doing routine troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Should have solid communication and supervisory skills because position interacts with all shift employees and is responsible for their progress.
• Must implement corrective actions and keep Production Manager informed as necessary.
• Should have general math, organizational management, and record keeping skills in order to maintain production records.
• Should be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software.
• May come in contact with dirt, noise, fumes and heat due to factory setting. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs, and walk 8 to 12 hours per day.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $47,653.69 - $75,000.00 per year
