The Production Supervisor is responsible for and oversees all production related issues in the plant for value-added production. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and will have a demonstrated history of leading successful teams. A keen sense of continuous improvement and operational excellence are also critical to ongoing success.

Job Requirements

  • Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of productions and scheduled delivery dates
  • Plans production operations, establishes priorities and sequences for products
  • Coordinates operational needs and activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications
  • Assure all required paperwork is completed and turned-in as required. Includes but are not limited to; raw material usage, finished product production, downtime, production time, personnel counts, HACCP paperwork, accident reports, work orders, and time and attendance reports.
  • Confirms line operations are implemented to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and that an ongoing process of continuous improvement (CI) is foundational
  • Ensures products conform to specification and meet all food safety and quality (FSQA) requirements as directed in working with the quality assurance department.
  • Timely and cost-effective manufacture of products through increased efficiency, quality standards, and company objectives.

Education/Experience:

  • Five years of experience in manufacturing preffered
  • At least five years of supervisory experience
  • Bi-lingual is preferred
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of both scheduling procedures and costing of products is required to ensure the production of products

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and develop action plans
  • Ability to train, coach and support direct team
  • Strong knowledge in food safety and regulatory standards, practices and procedures

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
