Position Title: Production Scheduler / Customer Service

Reports To: Oil & Gas Division Product Manager / Plant Manager

OVERVIEW: The Production Scheduler position is responsible for entering and processing all orders to the shop floor. By monitoring all the steps in production, the P&P Manager keeps the shop supplied with items necessary for production and ensures that projects are completely within specified timelines. There will times when you do only certain products or help the team with what ever scheduling and/or customer service needs support with.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Clear and open communication with staff, sales team, supervisors, and vendors.
  • Must open and close shop, which requires early and late working hours.
  • Able to handle increased workload during peak seasons.
  • Must order shop supplies and keep supply inventory for production and maintenance employees.
  • Must be able to use and train employees to use basic tools, scuzzing machine, blending machine, &others to complete job tasks.
  • Must be able to calculate basic math for measuring and QC of screws
  • Maintain office, materials (supplies), and computer updates.
  • Must maintain all purchase order logs.
  • Must double-check all purchase orders and make sure item isn’t already in shop.
  • Must be able to direct employees on all stages of screw production.
  • Overseeing projects as require by Plant Manager.
  • When work is slow finding work for employees or managing by sending employees home early mustmaintain labor hours.
  • Must maintain and check all safety records and report all safety issues to the safety director.
  • Must be able to work with various metal particulates such as nickel, cobalt, iron, and more. Please ask for a full list and MSDS from supervisor if there are any known metal or chemical allergies.
  • Must be able to perform duties as assigned by your supervisor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Highschool Diploma / GED Equivalent required
  • College Degree Preferred in relevant field

Experience

  • Must have 2 + years of production & purchasing management experience.
  • Foundry/Manufacturing/Warehouse Experience Preferred

The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to work within hot environments up to 12 hours a day.

This position may include use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Proper use of PPE is required.

This position is important to the effectiveness of all operations and contributes to the overall achievement of the organization's established quality objectives. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
