This position may be located in Dubuque, Iowa or Kernersville, North Carolina per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.


This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.


Your Responsibilities


As a Construction and Forestry Product Specialist for JD Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, Iowa or Kernersville, North Carolina, you will...


  • Provide expert dealer and customer support for the excavator product line.
  • Provide customer feedback for machine performance as part of the Early Detection Problem Resolution (EDPR) process.
  • Travel to customer locations to audit and diagnose machine issues, coordinate updates, and provide detailed reporting for machine performance and customer feedback.
  • Engage with Dealer Technical Assistance Center (DTAC), Quality, Engineering, and other functional teams to enhance customer acceptance of new product offerings.
  • Provide rapid response to customer issues with up to next day travel requirements.

What Skills You Need


  • 7 or more years of experience providing recommendations to superiors, other company groups, dealers and/or customers to improve reliability, warranty, and owning/operating cost through the use of multiple systems and tracking tools.
  • 5 or more years of experience providing guidance or feedback for quality and reliability processes for a product line. This applies also for allied product lines and suppliers.
  • 5 or more years of experience following established processes, manages Product Support operations for a specific product line or geographic region, including; communication, problem resolution, training, publication information development; coordinating with factories, dealers, branches, customers, and other functional groups. Supports Product Improvement Programs (PIP) and diagnoses very complex technical problems. May supervise and coach a small team.
  • 2 or more years of experience managing EDPR projects.
  • 2 or more years of experience acting as Product Factory Line Contact and represents Product Support in Worldwide Corrective Action (Non-Conforming Corrective Action) and/or Current Products Team activities and/or partner meetings or exhibitions.
  • 2 or more years of experience supporting Customer Support Planning (CSP) for Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
  • Ability to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally

  • Experience interacting with customers and dealers in difficult situations.
  • Experience working on a team communicating product issues to engineering or factory personnel.
  • Technical experience with complex hydraulic, electrical, and structural repairs.
  • Detailed in reporting highly technical information.

Education


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, Agricultural Sciences or Marketing
