Your opportunity

As a Scrum Master you will be working with a geographically dispersed team working on technical IT work in the online learning space. The team uses Lean/Agile/SAFe methodologies and you will be a key part of this by applying you project management skills.


This remote position is U.S-based only (excluding U.S. territories). There will be a few in-person meetups on a semi-annual basis in the North-East US.


Your Team

The LearningExpress Enablement Team is responsible for Analytics, Automation, Search, Compliance and several other IT functions. Our team enjoys the flexibility and work life balance that working remotely offers. There will be resources, tools, training, and support to ensure your success as a Scrum Master and your development and career growth.


What you will do

  • Participate in Scrum Ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, Milestone Tracking and Sprint Retrospectives
  • Monitor team performance metrics using Rally
  • Assist in properly scoping stories and documenting requirements
  • Manage team backlog and calendar
  • Build communication channels with people in other divisions of the organization to devise better operating processes
  • Collaborating with engineering, product management, and quality control teams
  • Remove roadblocks and guide your team towards goals
  • Help protect the team from uncontrolled injection of work
  • Facilitate customer facing activity, business customer interviews, and presentations at meetings


About you

  • Combined 2+ years of the following:
    • Scrum education with a certificate from a recognized standard organization
    • Managing projects, processes, and teams delivering web-based systems
    • Experience as a Scrum Manager or Project Manager
    • Experience working in a Program Management Office (PMO)
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Rally; knowledgeable about cloud computing terms


What sets you apart

  • Fluency with common technical terms and content management system terminology is very helpful.
  • Knowledge of the following will make you stand out: Analytics concepts, Compliance & security, Jenkins, Email concepts, WCAG/508 compliance, Search technologies, Risk register maintenance, process automation.
  • Experience with Rally and Monday.com a plus.
  • Strong MS PowerPoint skills desired, as well as the ability to communicate with a broad set of constituencies, both technical and non- technical.
  • Preferred Qualification: Passionate about EBSCO products


Our offer to you

Target Annual Compensation Range: $ 74,010 - 105,730. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location.
